WATCHMEN OF ANCIENT ATHENS

The ancient city of Athens was renowned for its democracy, its philosophy, and, importantly, its dedicated guardians. These fighters stood vigilant against invasions. Their missions encompassed protecting the city walls, maintaining law and order, and responding to any disasters that might arise. Within these guardians were the famed Hoplites,
